The drama Jackie is an intimate depiction of one of the most pivotal and tragic moments in the history of the United States of America, all from the perspective of the iconic First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. We find ourselves in Jackie’s world during the days immediately following the murder of her husband, the president of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Looking away from the sadness and trauma that she’s experiencing, the First Lady fights to regain her faith, to regain solace for her children and to put together her husband’s historical message to America as well as the world. – The film won the Best Screenplay award at the Venice Film Festival in 2016.
