Belgica is a story of two brothers: a charismatic and temperamental Frank, a father, a husband and an incurable womanizer, and his ambitious but inexperienced brother Joe, the owner of a bar called Belgica, the coolest nightclub in town. The brothers become business partners, turning Belgica into a spot with amazing music, beautiful people and unrestrained fun. However, when they later find out that leading such a business is harder than it seems, it starts taking a toll on their relationships and personal lives. – The film Belgica offers an absorbing experience of euphoria and is accompanied by the eclectic sound or a renowned Belgian band Soulwax. It depicts the brothers’ intoxicating journey to the top and the fall that follows afterwards. It’s a film about what it means to live for the moment and about the reality of how moving forward is not just inevitable, but also necessary.
